Taking on a new language requires a lot of self-discipline and scheduling, because there are only so many hours in the day. From my experience the normal ways of learning Spanish seem to be attending adult evening classes or hiring a private tutor from somewhere, both of which can add up to a lot of money compare to other ways that are far more effective.

If you want to do business in South Korea. Learning Korean is crucial. Although, you can use English as a language for business, but I think knowing Korean would prove useful for the business. Since they will admire you more for learning their language. I don't know about you, but if I'm doing business with foreigners, I would feel more comfortable to be able to communicate with them by the same language. South Korean has one of the major economies in the world. After the Korean war, South Korea has grew significantly. It has the 4th largest economy in Asia and 15th in the world. They are advanced in electronics, cars, robotics area.

2) Korean Culture

Korean history and culture is full of fascinating tales and stories. Korean culture is heavily influenced by China, but also developed a distinct culture of its own. You can see a similarities of Chinese and Korean arts and architecture, but also some distinctions. There are so many aspects of Korea that you can be fascinated about whether it might be sports (Taekwondo), online gamings, cuisines and many more.

3) Korean Media

South Korea is full of excellent movies and series. The Koreans are very successful at spreading there culture through their film and music industry. This is also one of my main reasons to learn Korean. There are so many films and series that you can enjoy, but however, to fully indulge and understand the meaning of what they are saying, understanding their language is preferred.

4) Korean is just a beautiful language!! - sounds good (well, at least to me)

It might be daunting when you first learn the Korean alphabets, or Hangul, but Korean pronunciation seems to just flow beautifully! I just think that it is a beautiful language and it would be nice to speak this language fluently!

5) Traveling to Korea

Going to visit South Korea is on my dream list and I would definitely visit it someday. If you are someone who love or would like to visit South Korea someday, understand their language will increase your experience of your stay exponentially. It would not be very fun if you go to their language and the only mean to communicate with them is your hand language. It would be much more pleasurable to be able to speak their language.

Well, this is some of the many reasons for you to think about learning Korean. These are just my main concerns for learning Korean. Some may match your intention and some may not.
