Curses on professional teams of every sort have always been gossiped about and the rumors have not stopped yet. There are many curses in the world of professional sports and among the most popular is probably the curse of Bambino on the Boston Red Sox. This among other curses are sometimes seen as the only reasonable explanation for a team not being able to win a championship in a sport over a long period of time.
The New Orleans Saints are a good example of this. The Saints have never won a Super Bowl in the history of the NFL. Local legend has it that the Superdome was built on the site of a graveyard, which has cursed the NFL team that plays inside the building. There has been little done by the New Orleans Saints to disprove the theory that this curse does indeed exist, and to be honest if the team does not at least make it to the Super Bowl this year I will actually have no choice but to believe it also.

During the 2006 NFL season there was a widely accepted belief among New Orleans Saints fans that the water and wind from Hurricane Katrina had blown away the curse on the cities beloved team once and for all. There are many who believe that because of these events they have the all star roster that they now have with head coach Sean Payton, Quarterback Drew Brees, and running back Reggie Bush.
Whatever the reason is for the turn of events in the New Orleans Saints organization, I myself believe that they are far beyond any curse at this point. There are no superstitions that would be able to support them not winning the Bowl this year. But to some, a curse would be the only reasonable explanation.
