Introduction to Radiologic Technology

CLASSES

This subject starts off with basic training on medical imaging. Students are trained to assist radiologists and take charge of demonstrating body structures on image receptors. They will also be taught how to identify the correct exposure, operate imaging equipment, and assess radiographic images. Medical imaging is critical and needs patient cooperation so x-ray technicians are responsible for patient relations as well.

Radiographic Positioning

This includes a study of arthrology, osteology, and placing of the thorax, spinal column, and skull. You will also be involved in the study of trauma and standard and non-standard procedures. All in all, intensive training on imaging will be exercised.

Human Anatomy and Physiology

In order to be knowledgeable of the filming procedures, the study of human anatomy and physiology is required. These integrated sciences outline and define human body structures, body functions, and accurate terms in describing body parts. In a general view, there will be topics on the various body systems and relevant information for diagnostic purposes.
