Don't Be Intimidated - Drawing Cars is Not That Difficult

Drawing cars is not that difficult if you have been thinking about giving it a try. Don't let the worry of failure stop you from doing it because even someone that does not draw can get good by using one of the car drawing e-books that are available. A book will break down the process in easy to follow steps that will have you making drawings like you would have never imagined.

As far as supplies for drawing, you do not need much to get started. You can buy a pad of drawing paper in different grades of texture and cost. If you are just starting out you don't need anything fancy here, just the average drawing paper will do.

You will need a set of pencils in different hardness's that you can pick up in an art supply store. You need different hardness's because as you get to the finished product you will be shading and defining areas of the car for darkness and light. A pencil sharpener will be a handy addition also.

Get what's called a gum eraser. This is the type that looks like putty that you can knead and form to different shapes. The benefit of this eraser is you can form it so you can erase very small areas or large areas. As it gets dirty from erasing you just knead it and it kind of self cleans.

The next two items to get you started would be a nice sturdy place to draw on. This could be a desk, dining room table or any sturdy surface you are comfortable with. Good lighting is the other item you must have. Make sure you can see clearly and there are no shadows over your drawing space.
