Hobby Classes - Chennai Classes

This is the time for you to learn something new; to let your creative juices flow and enjoy doing things that you have always wanted to do. And if you don't know where to get started, We have listed some hobby classes that you could give a try.

CLASSES

This was started by two friends - Shweta and Megna. Today, it is looked after by Megna. She teaches both adults and children 22 forms of art and craft,Candles including Egyptian murals, advancedLamasa(a corn flour based art, in which you can make delicate dolls, bouquets and gift articles), candle making, ceramic painting, porcelain painting, clay work, bread craft and origato (paper art similar to origami).

Her classes last for four to eight days, depending on your requirements and usually consist of a single work or piece. She takes classes at Nungambakkam from 3 PM to 5 PM daily and at Puraswalkam from 6 PM to 8 PM daily. Her fees range from Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,800 and include material costs. She has been in the business since 2003 and also runs a shop displaying her art works in various media. For further details do contact her at the number provided.

Creative Collections

Paint BrushRajalakshmi teaches oil, glass, mural and fabric painting, bread craft, lamasa, terracotta without wheel, pot painting, flower making and photo frame painting. She charges Rs. 500 upwards for any one item, inclusive of materials and fees. Her timings for adults are from 2 PM to 6 PM. She usually devotes her mornings to children from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM during the summer holidays. She has been conducting classes in various fields, including cookery, for the past 30 years and takes in not more than ten students per class. Her 1,000 square feet class on the ground floor also holds her shop by the same name. Students get to see the display and choose what they would like to do and pay for it accordingly.

Creative Colours Art Institute

Started by Kamla Ravikumar this arts and crafts centre has been functioning for the past 15 years. Crayons, water colors, oils and other forms of Mehendi painting are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During her hugely popular Summer and Winter Camps, she also teaches pottery, mehendi, needle work, glass painting, reverse glass painting, Tanjore painting, bread craft, quilting and so on for adults and children at different timings.
